Your mystical journey begins with an unforgettable flight to Paro, where you’ll be greeted by the sight of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and emerald valleys below. As the plane descends, you’ll see traditional Bhutanese farmhouses and terraced rice fields surrounding the Paro Dzong, with the watchtower Ta Dzong, now the National Museum, standing proudly above it.
Upon arrival, meet your guide from Bhutan Omkara Tours & Travels and drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. On the way, stop at the 15th-century Tachog Lhakhang Bridge, an iron chain masterpiece built by saint Thangtong Gyalpo. Once in Thimphu, take an evening stroll through the city’s charming streets, filled with art galleries, cafes, and local craft shops. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Today, discover Bhutan’s unique blend of modernity and tradition. Visit the Memorial Chorten, a beautiful white stupa built in memory of the third King, followed by the massive Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the valley. Continue to Changangkha Lhakhang, Thimphu’s oldest temple, where locals come to seek blessings for their children.
Explore Bhutan’s living traditions at the Folk Heritage Museum and Textile Museum, offering insights into traditional crafts and rural life. In the evening, visit the elegant Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s King and monastic body, glowing under the twilight. Overnight in Thimphu.

After breakfast, drive to Dochula Pass (3,100m), where 108 memorial stupas stand framed by panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Pause to admire the fluttering prayer flags and the serene mountain air before descending into the warmer Punakha Valley.
In Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, a fortress at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, once the seat of Bhutan’s government. Later, take a short hike through rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, dedicated to the “Divine Madman.” Overnight in Punakha.

After breakfast, journey to the serene Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful glacial valleys. The drive passes through forests of rhododendrons, magnolias, and bamboo before opening into wide meadows surrounded by the Black Mountains.
Visit Gangtey Monastery, an important Nyingma Buddhist center perched on a hill overlooking the valley. Later, enjoy a nature walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, where the sound of wind chimes and rustling pines fills the air. In winter, this valley becomes the sanctuary of the rare Black-Necked Cranes. Overnight in Phobjikha.

Depart Phobjikha for Trongsa, driving over Pele La Pass (3,390m), often marked by rows of prayer flags dancing in the wind. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery and glimpses of yak herders’ camps.
Upon arrival, explore the majestic Trongsa Dzong, Bhutan’s largest fortress and former administrative seat of power for the Wangchuck dynasty. Visit the Ta Dzong (Watchtower Museum), which houses fascinating artifacts related to Bhutan’s royal family. Overnight in Trongsa.

Continue your drive to Bumthang, often described as the spiritual heart of Bhutan. The journey crosses Yutong La Pass (3,400m) before descending into Jakar Valley, surrounded by apple orchards and monasteries.
Upon arrival, visit Jakar Dzong (Fortress of the White Bird), which commands sweeping views over the valley. Spend the evening exploring Chamkhar town, known for its cozy cafes and local handicraft shops. Overnight in Bumthang.

Today you’ll explore the sacred sites of Bumthang, steeped in legend and spiritual history. Begin at Jambay Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century. Then visit Kurje Lhakhang, where Guru Rinpoche meditated and left his body imprint on a rock.
Continue to Tamshing Monastery, known for its ancient murals and teachings of Pema Lingpa, and Kenchosum Lhakhang, surrounded by peaceful farmland. Later, stroll around Chamkhar town and sample local products like honey and cheese. Overnight in Bumthang.

After breakfast, take a short domestic flight (or a scenic drive) back to Paro. The journey offers breathtaking aerial views of mountain ranges and lush valleys. Upon arrival, relax and explore Paro town, known for its traditional architecture and handicraft stores.
If time permits, visit Drukgyel Dzong, a historical fortress built to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invasions, and admire the distant view of Mount Jomolhari. Overnight in Paro.

Begin your early morning hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. The trail ascends through pine forests adorned with colorful prayer flags, leading to one of the most sacred sites in Bhutan.
Perched dramatically on a cliff 900 meters above the valley, the monastery offers awe-inspiring views and deep spiritual energy. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress to subdue evil spirits. After descending, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, symbolizing the introduction of Buddhism to the country. Overnight in Paro.
After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your onward journey. As you take off, bid farewell to this mystical land — carrying home the warmth, serenity, and spiritual charm of Bhutan forever in your heart.
